With the launch of etanercept, our first biosimilar, we strengthened our commitment to improving access to affordable treatment by foraying into niche therapeutic areas.

Launched over-the-counter brand, Pharmacy Action
Launched to meet the growing demand for value‑driven healthcare, Pharmacy Action delivers a comprehensive range of over-the-counter medicines that address the wider consumer health needs.

2012
Generic Health acquired by Lupin Ltd.
The acquisition leveraged Lupin’s size, strength and global presence, which transformed Generic Health into a key player in the Australian generic medicines market.
Under Lupin’s umbrella, Generic Health created a sustainable platform designed for growth; expanding into key therapeutic areas and investing heavily in stakeholder relationships.

2007-2011
The era of acquisitions and partnerships
Over the years, Generic Health fostered multiple acquisitions and partnerships that strengthened and cemented its capabilities and expertise.
- 2011: Acquired marketing rights to the GOANNA brand of therapeutic creams, rubs and oils.
- 2009: Max Pharma Pty Ltd joined, expanding into specialty hospital generics.
- 2007: Acquired Bellwether Pharma Ltd, strengthening generic pharmaceutical capabilities.

Generic Health Pty Ltd founded

In 2020, Generic Health became a member of the Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation (APCO) and are committed to working towards achieving the 2025 National Packaging Targets.
